a Happy Rolphs date

Today we took Harrison and Addison on a date to Happy Rolphs in St.Catharines. We got to see lots of animals! Donkeys, goats, cows, bunnies! but mostly ducks!! Ducks are really the main attraction for our under 1 year olds.. The other animals aren't so interactive all the way in their cages.. but the ducks! they are free to roam around so avoiding duck poop as best as we could we sat the kidlets on the grass to feed the ducks! Very cute.

After Happy Rolphs we decided to take a ride on the carousel in Port Dalhousie and then for a ride on the swings. What a great date!

a ride on the carousel with momma

loving it in the swings!!

the end. what a beautiful day!

Future Musical Genious

Harrison`s new thing is playing the piano. He doesn`t stop moving around and always wants to be doing something different!! So now we plop him in his highchair and he plays the piano and sings. Its the best!! I can`t wait to see what becomes of this!

our lil` camping trip

our little superman.. we`re pretty sure he wants to be a male model. haha.

so yes! we went on our first family camping trip! 7 month old mr.man was such a good boy!! We went up to killbear provincial park with our friends Paul and Kristie and their daughter(harrys girlfriend), Addison! We had such a great week chillin in the sun, and then we buried our son! see below... :)

As you can see the kiddies just loved the beach. they definately had it made in the shade!!
Our campsite was only a short walk away, it was perfect!!
On one of our last nights at the park we decided to take the kids for a ride in the bike trailer. We all biked up to a point..(can`t remember the name) for sunset. It was beautiful!! although, we did miss the sunset.. and it was really windy so it was a short stay at the top of the rocks! but a beautiful view nevertheless!

Well I have to say.. 1 week was not long enough!! back to the real world for us. Although many more adventures with harryboy to come!!

Mr. Sick Little Man

So Harryboy is a sick little man right now. It all started a few weeks ago when he developed a rash. I thought he had the chicken pox. Shortly after appearing the rash disappeared and left him with a nasty cold. I decided to take him to the walkin clinic to check it out, but the doc didn`t prescribe anything and sent us on our way. Now 3 weeks later he is left with this nasty cough. I couldn`t wait any longer to let it run its course.. so i took him to the walkin once again.

Result= Ear Infection and Viral Bronchitis
Treatment= Amoxicilan and Puffer

my poor little man.

last night was night 1 of being on medications and he was up at 2am coughing his brains out.. well not really, he still has lots of brains.. but was coughing extremely a lot. So i grabbed him and brought him downstairs for a little puffer action and then brought him to my homemade steam room. we sat in the bathroom for about 1/2 hour with the shower steaming up the bathroom. I was hoping it would open up his airways a bit more, seemed to help and off to bed we went.

today his cough didn`t seem so bad, but he is definately not 100%. He didn`t want breakfast. In fact he was shaking his head no! I couldn`t believe it! He hasn`t really eaten a whole lot today, but i`m not too worried about the kid cuz he is definately very alert and very much wanting to get into EVERYTHING still!!

I can`t wait till he is feeling better!!

Time for Tea

Happy Birthday to my sister Elise!!!

A couple weeks ago we had a surprise tea party for my sisters 22nd birthday! We had so much fun heading to antique stores and used clothing/furniture stores to dress up the tables, baked a few cupcakes, ordered some pastries and we were set to go!!

We only had one problem amongst all the planning.. how were we going to get Elise to the tea party without letting her know about it? First problem.. it was the world cup soccer finals an hour or so before the party began, and it wouldn`t be over before we needed her there. So i thought of a master plan.. we were going to kidnap her!

So i sent the boys out as soon as all the lovely guests had arrived with strict instructions not to mess her hair, scare her, or make her angry. We didn`t want to ruin the day!! Well of course they don`t listen, i should have known! they are men!! They snuck a pillowcase to put over her head! So much for the birthday hair i did for her that morning. ruined! well.. maybe not ruined, but definately needed a touch up after it got pulled off..

Anyway, here are a few pictures from the beautiful day!!

Adventure day with Mom

So today I decided to take Harrison on an Adventure. First stop, Walmart. Ran out of my Huggies little swimmers. I discovered a beautiful thing while i was there. Pampers Splashers!! Who knew? I, as a commited Pampers supporter had a very hard time settling with Huggies little swimmers as i had horrible experiences with their diapers. However, i won't bash the little swimmers since they have never really given me any trouble. They are great! BUT now that there are a Pampers version, i will move on from those Huggies and welcome Pampers with open arms! Can't wait to test them out!!.. on Harrison of course :)

Next stop. Mcdonalds. You simply can' have an adventure without a trip to my friend Ronald Mcdonalds! So we made a quick trip through the drivethru. Was tempted to get Harrison a happy meal so he could have Mcdonalds too, but then refrained from doing so as i would have to eat his meal for him when i remembered he is only 7 months. Just a little while longer baby, then we can eat Mcdonalds together!
Back home we went.. Short adventure.. but it wasn't over yet. we just needed to make a little pitstop. Naptime.

And due to a 3 hour + nap our adventure was cut short due to lack of daytime... we ended it with a play in the duckie pool and a trip to the park.. where harrison got beat up by a 1 1/2 year old.. he didn't seem to mind tho, but the other kid got sent home. oh dear. it begins already.

The end.
