Today, and not only today, did I try to learn to knit. It seems the world knows how to crochet, and so I wanted to learn to knit. My Oma taught me to knit when I was young and so picking up the basic knit stitch was a sinch! but when you want to knit something cool like a droopy hat or a cowl scarf you need to know much more than that.. also knitting on circular knitting needles is a pain in the a$$ compared to regula ones! argh. so thus my persuit of knitting happiness. I will get there one day! I actually went to visit a yarn store today in fonthill called.. Roses fine Yarns of Niagara.. (which I didn`t remember till I googled it just then) but such a sweet girl in there who knew I wasn`t pro the minute I walked in the place but was so happy to show me everything!! I really hope that I continue with this knitting thing to make it worth her while!! Although looking back, i spent 42 something on supplies to make a hat.. I could just buy a hat for much cheaper.. but I guess I wouldn`t have the satisfaction then, would I? I better finish this darn hat! Someone please ask me in a week to make sure I`m still trying!!!
I`m trying to think of what pictures I can add to this blog post and I don`t really have any that relate.. let me just peek at Picasa and get back to you. Okay, I`m back and there are only 100s and 1000s of beautiful pics of my children, but I`ll save them for another day. Maybe I will post some pics of some etsy people that I loooove.. Check it ouuut!
